Database Developer Bioinformatics Oracle PL/SQL Netherlands
World renowned biotechnology company in the Netherlands has a fantastic new opening for a Database Developer (Manager) within their Bioinformatics team. My client is an international operating biotechnology company focusing on the development of cutting edge genetic information.
The successful candidate will be helping support customers/users in the use of in-house developed database applications. You will be predominantly working on Oracle RDBMS, writing and optimising queries and stored procedures (Oracle PL/SQL) to support software.
You will be helping to keep an overview of developments linked to the logical database table structure for all in-house projects to ensure data integrity.
The ideal candidate will have completed a relevant education at HBO level, with experience in database design (OLTP and OLAP systems). You will have excellent knowledge of SQL (preferably oracle) with solid experience of MS access. Experience with database design tools and handling large datasets is highly desirable, alongside knowledge of Oracle database and tools (SQL loader, export import, PL/SQL). Previous experience in a commercial environment is preferred but not essential.
