Senior Java Developer IT Consultant Oxford XML. Senior Java Developer is required to join a team of innovative, creative and highly skilled Java software engineer’s/IT Consultants in Oxford. My client develops a cutting edge products designed to relieve the burden often associated with the exchange of financial information.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the technical consulting and product development for major corporate and public sector clients. Responsibilities will involve providing strong technical leadership and mentoring junior software developers within the company.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic background (2:1 or above from a good university) and a minimum of 2 years commercial experience. You should be able to demonstrate experience in the design and development of performance-critical systems; with solid experience in some the following technical skill sets: Java, XML, OO Design (including Design Patterns), Eclipse, Unit Testing and JUnit.
The successful candidate will be familiar with working in an Agile / XP environment and be comfortable with Linux. Previous consulting experience or prior working with government agencies is beneficial.
