Software Developer C / C++ Cambridge Linux UML. Cambridge based software house are seeking a highly motivated C/C++ software engineer to help further develop their new cutting edge internet radio software. Joining a team of 1st Class C/C++ Software Developers you will be working on the development of leading edge software applications for brand name media/radio manufacturers.
The successful candidate will help maintain and design new features on existing codebase (C/Objective-C), whilst working alongside hardware teams producing low-level supporting software and assisting with technical issues from first-line support personnel.
The ideal candidate will be at least degree educated in computer science, mathematics or science related discipline. You will have at least 12 months experience writing commercial software, with skills in Linux development, C and C++. To succeed in this role you will enjoy working on the full software development lifecycle whilst providing technical support to clients / manufacturers. Experience with the following will be highly desirable:
•Objective C
•Linux drivers
•Embedded linux
•UML or other high level modeling methods
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role.
