This organisation has been established for over 8 years and is a specialist in developing and manufacturing cardiovascular products for the medical device industry. Due to an internal promotion they now have an exciting opportunity available for a Production Manager to join their team in Oxfordshire.
As the Production Manager you will be responsible for ensuring delivery of products is to time and budget deadlines. This role will include performance measurement of the production department.
Other duties within this varied role will include:
-Creating and maintaining production plans and targets for both internal and contract manufacture
-Managing continuous improvement techniques
-Ensuring increase in capacity is met by the production team
-Monitoring and reporting on progress towards production plans and targets
-Managing production equipment maintenance schedules
-Maintaining MPS and MRP systems
-Ensuring all products have gone through final release in quality
The suitable candidate must previous manufacturing and production engineering experience within the medical devices industry. Experience of working with Class III medical devices is highly advantageous but not essential for this role. A certificate in management is also desirable for this position. You will be a self motivated and enthusiastic production manager who is able to drive a team forward.
