This organisation has been established for over 8 years and specialises in designing and manufacturing fibre laser products. Due to recent expansion they now have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Southampton.
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting supplier quality audits.
Other duties within this role will include:
-Preparing and reporting quality data related to manufacturing and product quality
-Implementing quality improvement projects based on objective quality data
-Reviewing procedures for handling supplied material to ensure compliance with requirements
-Providing management of non conforming products, ensuring supplier root cause investigation and appropriate correct action
The suitable candidate will ideally be educated to a Degree level (or equivalent) within a Scientific discipline. You must also have experience of working in a supplier quality assurance role within the manufacturing environment. Experience of working to FDA, GMP and ISO 13485 standards is required.
