Create a new future
Expansion of the Genomics England Bioinformatics Team
The 100,000 Genomes Project
Genomics England was set up by the Department of Health to deliver the 100,000 Genomes Project. This ambitious consent-based project is one of the largest national genome sequencing effort of its kind in the world. Participants are NHS patients with a rare disease, plus their families, and patients with cancer. We are working with the NHS to create a new genomic medicine service to support better diagnosis and better treatments for patients. We are also enabling medical research and aim to kick-start a UK genomics industry.
We are constantly looking for new and novel ways to collect, analyse and interpret genomic sequence data along with medical records to create a ground-breaking resource. To support this we are recruiting for a number of positions within the Bioinformatics Group. These roles are based at Genomics England, Queen Mary University of London, Charterhouse Square, London.
