These roles involve developing and implementing communications strategies for a particular brand or range of brands and products. For instance, you might need to develop a marketing plan for a drug that targets a rare disease or be involved with organising the launch of a new product. You will have a relevant degree and prior experience in brand management in the life sciences.
This type of healthcare communications work involves presenting the benefits of pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and devices to potential buyers. Market Access professionals are able to show the value, in terms of economic outcomes and benefits, of particular products and services. This requires skills in research, strategy and collaboration. The roles include Health Economists, Market Access Consultants, and Pricing and Reimbursement (P&R). Candidates with experience in this field are in particular demand for communications agencies.
